Green Dot Kearney
Green Dot is a nationally recognized bystander intervention program designed to empower individuals to prevent violence before it happens.
Program Overview
-
- Bystander Intervention: The core of the Green Dot program is bystander intervention, which equips individuals with the skills and motivation to intervene in situations that could lead to violence. This proactive approach helps create a culture where violence is not tolerated.
-
- Community Mobilization: Green Dot aims to shift community norms by encouraging proactive behaviors that model and endorse non-violent norms. This helps create safer, healthier, and more respectful environments.
What is Green Dot?
Green Dot is a nationally recognized program that empowers people to step in and stop violence before it happens. It teaches everyday folks how to safely intervene and support a culture of respect and safety.
EVERYONE HAS A ROLE
Green Dot is built on the belief that everyone plays a part in creating safer communities. Whether at school, work, or in public, we all have the power to make a difference.
RED DOTS VS. GREEN DOTS
Red Dots = Moments of harm—like dating violence, stalking, or assault.
Green Dots = Actions that stop harm—like checking in on a friend or speaking up when something feels off.
Small Actions. Big Impact.
Every time someone chooses to step in, speak up, or support a survivor, that’s a Green Dot. The more green dots we create, the fewer red dots we see.
Building a culture of safety
When more people take small actions, we shift the norm. Green Dot builds momentum across communities—replacing silence with support, and inaction with accountability.
We're Bringing it to you!
We offer engaging presentations for schools, businesses, and community groups. Participants leave with the tools and confidence to recognize red flags and intervene safely.
We’re bringing Green Dot presentations to schools, businesses, clubs, and community groups—basically, wherever people come together. Our goal? To give folks the tools (and the confidence!) to spot warning signs, step in safely when something’s not right, and help build a culture where respect, safety, and accountability are the norm.
