Safe Bars’ mission is to help alcohol-serving spaces create safe, welcoming, and respectful environments for everyone.

What is Safe Bars?

Safe Bars is a training program that empowers hospitality staff to stop sexual aggression and other forms of gender-based violence by teaching active bystander skills, so they know how to intervene safely and effectively.

Unwanted sexual aggression is common, and tipped wage workers are more likely to experience harassment compared to their non-tipped counterparts. The training aims to increase their confidence and empower them to respond effectively in these situations.
